Mayanot Alumni Wins First Place Prize!

We are very proud to announce that Moishe Chakoff , our Mayanot Men's Program Alumni recently won first place in the Meaningful Life Center MyLife Essay Contest, taking home $10,000 for his incredible and insightful chassidut essay. Shluchos Visit New Mayanot World Center

Mayanot proudly opened its doors for the first time at the new Mayanot World Center to 150 Shluchos from around the globe for an inspiring morning of learning and connection. On Friday, May 31st, the guests were welcomed with opening remarks from Executive Director Rabbi Kasriel Shemtov. The Shluchos heard inspiring words from Rivka Marga Gestetner, Educational Director of the Women's Learning Program, on the important impact women’s learning has and the many program options available for students. Followed by a shiur in Chasidus and a taste of Mayanot learning with world-renowned educator, Rabbi Yitzchak Kaufmann. Rabbi Shlomo Gestetner, Dean, guided the guests through a tour of the enhanced facilities, meticulously designed to foster deep Jewish learning and help students connect with their rich heritage through immersive Torah study and transformative Israel experiences. Remarkable Success even in Challenging Times

On the top of Masada (Mayanot Israel/Birthright Israel Trip) In the summer of 2024, Mayanot's Birthright Israel department achieved remarkable success against a backdrop of regional tensions, made worse by their coverage on USA news-media channels. As Israel continues its campaign of self-defense against Hamas and other terrorist organizations, Mayanot Israel demonstrated resilience and dedication in connecting young Jews with their land, their people and their heritage. Now more than ever, this mission is critical. Despite the challenges facing Israel travel, Mayanot successfully brought 516 participants to the country from May to July for their flagship 10-day Birthright Israel trip. This achievement did not come easily, but the department's dedicated team and partners worked 'round the clock to ensure that anyone that was committed enough - and brave enough - to come to Israel at this time was afforded the opportunity.
