In a spacious, modern and luxurious new campus in the heart of Yerushalayim, Mayanot Yeshiva opened its academic year this week. The new campus, is attracting a record number of students this year with close to 150 young men joining from across the globe.
Mayanot Yeshiva serves English-speaking students from the United States, Canada, England, South Africa, Australia and Israel, all seeking to deepen their connection to Judaism and experience the study of Chassidic teachings. Thanks to the move to the new campus, which offers facilities of the highest standard, the yeshiva has seen a dramatic increase in enrollment.
The beautifully maintained Mayanot building has become a beacon for spreading Torah and Chassidus in the capital city. It includes a spacious dining hall and fully equipped kitchen, four floors of dormitories with hotel-style rooms and lounges, comfortable classrooms, large safe rooms, an events terrace overlooking the city, a state-of-the-art mikvah and even a fully equipped gym. This creates the ideal blend of Torah study and Chassidic life together with excellent physical conditions and healthy living, an environment that strengthens both body and soul.
The yeshiva staff, comprised of renowned Chabad rabbis, mashpi’im and educators, personally guide and support the students in their growth. The academic year is divided into four unique programs, allowing every student to find the framework that suits him best. At the same time, in the Nachlaot neighborhood, Mayanot’s women’s program is also seeing a significant rise in enrollment.
At the opening ceremony, the directors of the yeshiva, Rabbi Kasriel Shemtov and Rabbi Shlomo Gestetner, emphasized the great responsibility that comes with welcoming such a large number of students. They said: “Mayanot is not just another educational institution. It is a place where young people, often arriving with little or no Jewish background, come closer, learn, grow, and are transformed into Chassidim who actively spread the wellsprings of Chassidus to others. The new campus enables us to fulfill this mission on an unprecedented scale.”
The Rosh Yeshiva, Rabbi Yisroel Noach Wichnin, highlighted the immense privilege of studying Torah and Chassidus specifically in Jerusalem, the Holy City. He described how the yeshiva integrates dedicated Torah study with authentic Chassidic vitality in everyday life.
